An Inspiration...
Business
In November 2017, Tony became a Director of Heart of England Community Energy (HECE) located site just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. HECE is the UK’s largest community energy company by size of assets. The land on which the solar farms are built cannot be used for agricultural purposes which makes it a particularly appropriate location for solar farms.
Scouting
Tony joined the 20th Blackpool Cub Scout Group aged 7 where he was a Senior Sixer, and achieved the Leaping Wolf and 10 proficiency badge. He then went on to join a Scout group and then Senior Scouts, he has spent most of his life very involved in the scouts.
Gang Show
Tony Guy has done so much for the Scout Movement with his passionate involvement in Gang Shows for over 55 years. Giving youngsters (and oldsters) their first (or maybe last) chance to experience the feeling of performing in front of a live audience, creating memories that last a lifetime for both the performers and the audiences who go to watch.
Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire
In 2016 Tony was Awarded the MBE for "services to scouting and young people in Warwickshire and Blackpool". Charles, Prince of Wales presented Tony with his medal at a ceremony attended by his wife and three children.
